I am an artist, artisan, ski instructor, speed skater, art teacher, Lego guru, an enthusiastic plant lady and snack aficionado.
My works of art are the vehicles for my personal expression and narrative, much like books are to writers. The titles I choose are usually a play on meanings, metaphorical or symbolic of an idea.
I work with watercolour, acrylic, gouache, sumi e, oil pastels and assorted fabrics, always starting my pieces with the question: "What if?" and the belief most anything is doable. The multi disciplinary/medium way allows me to create abstract images that are juxtaposed with contrasting patterns. The tactility and malleability of the multiple textures, weight and colours are satisfying to me.
Different processes and techniques are layered on top of each other or side by side.
Nature and its countless combination of materials drive my desire to share and then I am a big kid in a candy store inviting you to fall in love with the infinite mix of art elements and my fondness of simply create works of art.
